ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the instruction of pilots for ground school training for Initial, Recurrent, Transition, Upgrade, and any other required aircraft training courses. Measure training progress of students within the established curriculum Evaluate progress and performance, issues and problems; prepare necessary documents and reports
Conduct training tasks including lesson planning, classroom and simulator set-up, upkeep of current aviation publications and instructional materials
Complete required training records in an accurate and timely manner Work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
Maintain currency on regulations, departmental and company policies, and methods of training.
·Maintain productive relationships with flight crew members, Manager of Pilot Training, Vice President of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief Pilots and all other key Company stakeholders
·Maintain confidentiality

NOTE: This is a supplemental position working on an as-needed basis. No benefits are offered. Teach periodic 767 ground school classes. Pay is a day rate of $400.00. No travel or per diem.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); bachelor’s degree preferred.
Requires prior experience as a ground instructor.
Requires a broad knowledge of US aviation regulations, standards, and practices and applicable US/foreign regulations including those of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Experience as a pilot in the B767 aircraft is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse employees at all levels.Good organizational skills
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
·Need excellent oral and written communication skills.
·Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as government regulations, collective bargaining agreements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
·Ability to write reports and correspondence.
