MH-60R Pilot Instructor based in Nowra, Australia for full time position.
Provide academic instruction to include Instructor led lecture discussion for self-paced Computer Aided Instruction (CAI), Computer Based Training (CBT), etc. in support of courses required for the company MH-60R.
Conduct scheduled training for Training Device and Systems Training (including briefs and debriefs) using traditional and modern tools such as interactive white boards, computers, and video projector systems.
Provide classroom instruction and recommendations for improvement, to include tests and test materials, lesson plans, and trainee guides under the guidelines of current directives.
Evaluate and document student training/mission performance, as required.
Assist in training device testing/evaluation associated with periodic qualification or introduction of new or modified systems or Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) as they affect the training system.
Maintenance and improvement of Curriculum/Syllabus/Testing. Update, modify, and maintain currency of mission scenarios to support specific training. Assess training, syllabus, and mission scenarios for effectiveness and recommend improvements to the training program to the Government.

Aid in the validation of training device discrepancies and corrective actions.
Participate in airworthiness boards when requested by the company
Introduce and explain the operation, capabilities and limitations of respective device(s)/training equipment and the aircraft simulated to various tour groups and individuals as may be required by the company
Attend required scheduled meetings (e.g., Scheduling, Standardization, Commonwealth Instructor Pilot/Aircrew, and Intelligence Updates).
Performs administrative duties such as record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, quality assurance, safety, security, and maintenance of training programs and equipment.
Must be physically able to enter simulator, experience simulator motion, and take cognizance of attendees’ safety when on board the simulator.
Must be able to stand up and conduct academic instruction in simulator and classrooms for up to six hours each day.
Must maintain proficiency in operation of essential MH-60R Aircrew Training Devices.

Pilots shall have a minimum of 500 command hours on multi engine, multi crew, medium helicopter (H-60), or Conduct of Training Authority agreed equivalent. (Recent experience as an MH-60R Instructor Pilot or Evaluator Pilot desired.)
Have a minimum of two (2) years instructional experience in an aircrew training environment on military rotary wing platforms.
Shall possess the qualifications and experience necessary to be able to be authorized by the HQ-FAA Chief Aircrew examiner or delegate as a competent simulator instructor in all MH-60R curriculum sequences.
Shall have previous anti-submarine and surface warfare experience.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Pilot instructors shall be assessed as competent to instruct, to train MH-60R Pilot.
Pilot instructors shall undergo, and be required to pass, a periodic instructor assessment, in accordance with Standing Instructions .
Required to maintain an annual A2I, Authority to Instruct, certification in accordance with Standing Instructions standards.
Must be willing to participate in regular Peer Reviews conducted both internally and well as in conjunction with the company.
