Job Description

This position entails a significant amount of time flying in agency aircraft as a crewmember.
The Pilot is also responsible for performing various other law enforcement duties, to include routine patrol, investigating crimes, protecting life and property, enforcing laws and ordinances and maintaining order.

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED Diploma.
Must have a valid Florida Driver License.
Must not have been convicted of a felony.
Must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving moral character, false statement, perjury or domestic violence.
Must have a valid Florida Law Enforcement Certification.
Must have current FAA Commercial Rotorcraft License.
Must have a current second-class medical certificate and biennial flight review.
Must be able for call outs, and work any hours or dates as needed, which includes shift work, holidays and weekends.
Skills:
Flight experience in Bell OH-58/206 and Bell 407 helicopters is preferred.FAA Night Vision Goggle certification preferred.
One thousand five hundred (1500) hours pilot-in-command with one thousand (1000) hours pilot-in-command in turbine helicopters preferred.
Three hundred (300) night hours with one hundred (100) NVG hours pilot-in-command preferred.
Must have good oral and written communications skills.
Must be self-motivated, goal orientated and be able to prioritize tasks.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
