Looking for a Assistant Chief Flight Instructor based in Mesa, Arizona with full time position.
Role and Responsibilities Be an ambassador of our safety culture; Support the Safety Officer in the development and updating of all safety program policies and procedures; Assist in conducting Safety Meetings for all cadets and staff; Address Occurrence Reports and make safety recommendations to the Safety Officer.
Assist the Chief Flight Instructor and FAA Training Manager with the management, mentoring and supervision of flight instructors and flight training operations
Standardization of Flight Instructors; Audit student records; Conduct initial and recurrent proficiency checks as required by the FAA; Maintain Instructor records and endorsements; Required 141 certificate record keeping; Process and policy improvements; participate in 141 certificate renewals.
Examine cadets through oral and practical testing to determine if they meet the standards set forth in our course approvals; Monitor cadet progress through all flight courses; Quality control for theoretical courses.
Accountable for ensuring that the school is in compliance with the local regulatory requirements. Ensuring Training policies and processes are suitable for task and regulatory requirements. Advising Specialists of shortfalls and remedial requirements
Provide counselling and mentoring to instructors, and develop training plans as assigned

Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience (preferable)
Meet Assistant Chief Flight Instructor qualifications as outlined in FAR 141.36.
Meet the requirements of FAR 61.56 and 61.57.
Hold a current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single and Multi-Engine Land Instrument Airplane Ratings.
Hold a current Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single and Multi-Engine Instrument Airplane Ratings.
1,000 flight hours as pilot-in-command.
750 flight hours as flight instructor.
200 flight hours as an instrument flight instructor.
50 flight hours under actual or simulated instrument conditions.
Hold a current FAA Medical Certificate.
2 years as a flight instructor.
1 year as a flight instructor at a 141 flight school.
