The Second-in-Command Pilot reports functionally to the Pilot-in-Command during the assigned flight and administratively to the Chief Pilot, as appropriate, on other matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot-in-Command;
Assumes PIC duties, including control of the flight, in the event of PIC incapacitation;
Participates in the Safety Management System;
Flies the aircraft per the directions of the PIC;
Performs takeoffs and landings under the authority of the PIC;
Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot, as appropriate, and/or PIC.

Holds at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument and Multi-Engine Rating;
Has logged a minimum of 1500 flight hours;
Meets applicable currency requirements;
Possesses a First-Class FAA Medical Certificate;
Demonstrates the capability to speak and understand English for radiotelephony communications as specified in ICAO Annex 1.
Possesses a bachelor’s degree.
Successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills while maintaining a safety-first mindset in support of the Captain for flights throughout US and Canada.
Overnight travel required.
Future PIC and Jet upgrades exist.
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Works well in a team environment, working towards the common goal of the department.
