Job Description

Provide training on Harvard II and Hawk 115 flight training devices to student military pilots in accordance with the applicable Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) training plan as well as instructional techniques approved by the Canadian Forces.
The majority of flight instructors must also acquire specific expertise related to one of the many academic subjects related to military pilot training in order to prepare and present at conferences in support of the company training program.
Successful candidates will be required to develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft manuals.
In order to obtain employment, after completing the training, the candidate will need to pass an assessment on the Department of National Defense standards, submitted by the Central Flight School, for the flight training device. concerning.
To become certified as an instructor, you must also pass an assessment submitted by the Central Flight School.
The following are examples of other duties that may be performed by the Ground Training System Instructor:
Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of multimedia learning systems, computerized training modules, courseware and mission scenarios relating to flight training devices.
Research and prepare statements of requirements for future work to upgrade or improve the company program.
Review contractors' bids or statements of work to ensure they meet future requirements.
Provide subject matter expert feedback to any department within the company program organization.
Provide subject matter expert feedback as part of other company Military Aviation Training (FAMC) training initiatives, nationally and internationally, and be prepared to deploy the program for short periods in view to support these activities.

Minimum Requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Experience as a pilot of a military fixed-wing aircraft
Experience as a military flight instructor
Experience with simulators and flight training devices
SKILLS SOUGHT
Qualified flight instructor, preferably with at least A2 level
Operational experience related to military fast jets
Official training and teaching techniques
Experience with authorizing and modifying multimedia tutorials
Verbal knowledge of French as a second language
Provide Simulator instruction on the Harvard II and/or Hawk 115 Flight Training Device (FTD) to military student pilots in accordance with the applicable company Training Plan and Canadian Forces approved instructional techniques.
The majority of FTD instructors are also required to develop specific expertise in one of the many Academic subjects associated with Military Pilot Training in order to create and deliver academic lectures in support of the company training program.
Successful applicants will be required to develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft manuals, Canadian Forces Approved Flight Manual (CFAFM for the Harvard) or Aircraft Operating Instructions (AOIs for the Hawk), applicable Standard Manoeuvre Manual and the company pilot training syllabi.
Qualification as an Academic instructor also requires evaluation by 15 Wing Standards.​Other Instructor duties may include:
Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of multi-media learning systems, computer based training modules, academic course ware and FTD mission scenarios.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous Military fixed wing pilot experience.
Previous Military flying instructional experience.
Simulator or FTD experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified Flying Instructor, preference given to A2 level and above.
Military fast-jet operational experience.
Formal training in Instructional Techniques.
Experience with authoring and amending multi-media instructional course ware.
