General responsibilities and duties include:
Act as pilot in command or second in command of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled
Provide excellent customer service
Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft’s operationStudy weather conditions at the destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points
Prepare and file flight plans
Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel, and performance dataEnsure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the comfort and safety of the passengers
Make decisions necessary to start or delay flights, and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
