Job Duties
Operate a rotary wing aircraft in response to emergency medical requests, searches, natural disasters or other approved missions.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Commercial and Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft)Second-Class Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) medical certificateDare MedFlight is a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Program and the following are required for consideration:
2,000 total flight hours with minimum of 1,500 flight hours in category
1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in category
500 hours of rotor wing turbine time
200 hours of cross-country flight time, at least 50 hours of which were at night100 hours unaided night as PIC (or 50 hours of unaided and 100 hours of Night Vison Goggle time)
Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive company, FAA and DOT required pre-employment screening, criminal background check, drug test, motor vehicle driving record, PRIA records check, Office of Inspector General List of Excluded Individuals, and National Sex Offender Public Website registry.
Subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, and post-accident).
Must be able to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, all Departmental and County personnel, hospitals and the public. Strives to maintain a friendly and professional working environment.
Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator, or in the military, within the previous 24 months.
