Job Description

This Pilot-in-Command is responsible for safe and efficient operation a Citation Sovereign (C680).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights.
Directs the activities of the Second-in-Command and ensures that all crewmembers understand fully and completely what duties they are expected to perform.
Central contact for assigned trips. Responsible for all decision making; remains PIC for entire trip.
Ensures that the aircraft is airworthy and registered, and all required documentation is onboard the aircraft;
Determines the aircraft weight and balance.
Ensures databases are current, installs latest updates if required. Ensures electronic devises are updated and adequately charged for the assigned flight.
Ensures that all flight planning requirements have been met, including crewmember’s valid Pilot Certificates, Medical Certificates, passports, and visas.
Delegates cockpit responsibilities as needed.
Ensures completed flight planning paperwork is delivered to all trip pilots.
Ensures that the flight will not be commenced if a crewmember is incapacitated from performing duties by any cause. Ensures that the flight will not be continued beyond the nearest suitable airport when a crewmember’s capacity to perform functions is significantly reduced by impairment of faculties.
Confirms aircraft interior is clean, organized, and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
Complies with all Federal, State, Local, and Foreign regulations as well as company policies and procedures in all aircraft manuals and Flight Operations Manual.
Conducts a preflight briefing with all crewmembers to review all aspects of the trip and confirm all duties for each individual.
Provides exceptional customer service to all passengers.
Ensures the Passenger Safety Briefing is provided to the passengers in accordance with the company.
Operates the aircraft per the Flight Department SOP and checklists, and within aircraft limitations.
Ensures compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
Completes all post flight duties, including notifying the Company of deviations to any planned itinerary, schedule, or overnight location.
Records flight times and aircraft defects.
Monitors crew performance and shares knowledge. Serves as an integral flight trainer within the organization for upgrading pilots.
Tracks and maintains personal currency in assigned aircraft.
Reports all known or suspected FAA violations or incidents to the Chief Pilot, as appropriate, as soon as practical.
Reports any hazardous weather or flight conditions encountered that are likely to affect the safety of other aircraft to the appropriate company facility.
Maintains contact with Flight Coordinator and updates any changes of schedule, passenger list or any other change.
Be familiar with all aircraft placarded limitations, emergency equipment, and emergency procedures.
Actively engages in safety reporting and continuous improvement.
Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot, as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating.
Sovereign C680 PIC type-rating preferred.
Has logged at least 3,500 hours total time, 1,500 hours turbine, 500 hours jet, with 1,500 hours as PIC.
Meets applicable currency requirements.
Possesses a First-Class FAA Medical Certificate.
Demonstrates the capability to speak and understand English for radiotelephony communications as specified in ICAO Annex 1.
Possesses a bachelor’s degree.
Proven analytical problem solver.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions.
Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Works well in a team environment, working towards the common goal of the department as a whole.
