Job Description

All duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Pilot in Command job description
Maintain a high level of knowledge of the General Operations Manual, FederalAviation Regulations, applicable accreditation requirements, and applicable company policies and procedures
Assist in the recruitment, hiring and discharging of flight personnel
Assist the Chief Pilot in creating and revising a monthly pilot schedule
Schedule pilots for travel, training, and other duties as necessary
Assist in the creation of new policies/procedures, and review existing policies/procedures to improve operations
Administer disciplinary actions when necessary as directed by the Chief PilotAssist the Chief Pilot in directing and/or administering pilot flight and ground training
Assist the Chief Pilot to ensure line pilots are provided with a current FAR/AIM, GOM and pertinent operational information as prescribed in FAR 135.83

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred.
3000 hours PIC helicopter time; 500 hours of night experience; 200 hours of IFR experience.
Single Pilot IFR experience.
Preference is given to applicants who have an ATP rating.
Commercial rated multi-engine airplane, plus at least five (5) years experience in management which includes supervision, budgetary and safety.
Highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FARs, OperationsSpecifications, Flight Manuals, etc., and other instructions pertinent to flight operations.
Ability to think strategically while attending to details.
Skills in observations, assessment and creative problems solving.
Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and persuasively both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure, work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions, and set and reset multiple priorities.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.Team building skills.
