Complies with all FAA Regulations (FAR's, 14 CFR), Angel One Transport General Aviation Operations Manual, Safety Manual, Training Manual and all other Arkansas Children's Hospital policies and procedures.
Prepares VFR/IFR flight plans in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Arkansas Children's Hospital General Aviation Operations Manual.
Upon arrival for duty, ensures aircraft is prepared for flight in accordance with the Aircraft Operator's Manual and General Aviation Operations Manual.
Enters mechanical discrepancies into aircraft log book keeping maintenance personnel and Angel One Communications Center abreast of aircraft status.Files, activates and closes flight plans.
Ensures proper completion of flight logs, manifest records and maintenance forms.
Participates in flight debriefings.
Ensures required aviation publications required for flight are up to date.
Maintains assigned copy of a General Aviation Operations Manual up to date.
Maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command as per FAR Part 135.293/299Maintains Single Pilot Instrument Flight Rules (SPIFR) proficiency as per FAR Part 135.297
The Pilot in Command may delegate functions to other personnel but retains full responsibility and accountability.
Notify the Director of Operations whenever a medical deficiency exists that would affect the safety of flight.
Checks aircraft discrepancy log prior to flight to ensure all discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred prior to flight.
Perform maintenance operational checks and/or flights.
