Currently searching for a full-time captain to play a leading role in managing a team of full-time pilots with a flight department that is commutable. The base is in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will need to be a team player while seeking excellence in every aspect of their performance.
Responsible for safe operation of the aircraft.
Responsible for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with, but not limited to the following items:
Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft.
The conduct of a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
A complete check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.
Ensure the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft and crew.
Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Supervises assigned personnel to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures contained in the company, FAA and other Manuals, as well as applicable regulations.
Monitors the personal appearance, dress code, and conduct of all assigned personnel to achieve the highest standards.
Plan and coordinate crew schedules and manage crew trip assignments.
Conducts meetings with assigned personnel to coordinate activities, address issues, and promote employee goodwill.
Approves and schedules Personal Time Off (PTO) for all assigned personnel.
Coordinates, schedules and reviews applicable crew training in conjunction with training coordinator.
Maintains a Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Record on each assigned crewmember.
Works closely with and in support of the Client Aviation Manager to ensure client’s travel needs are met and policies are adhered to.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Management experience with a demonstrated track record of leadership is required to be considered for this position.
NBAA CAM certification or other applicable leadership training.
Experience in multiple facets of training for flight operations personnel.
College degree and/or advanced (non-flight) training.
Interpersonal communication skills to support and mentor assigned personnel.
Track record of working in (and contributing to the development of) one or more environments striving to implement and continually extend industry “best practices” in all facets of flight operations.
Typed on BBD Global 7500, Global XRS or comparable aircraft
Significant international flight operations experience in all regions of the world
First class medical required
Must be able to work on an on-call basis
