This position is part time (approx 30 hrs/week), with the potential to build flight hours quickly in a short time. Our part 61 flight school prides itself on providing quality instruction to create safe and responsible pilots, and is small enough to give personal attention to each student.
As a flight instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students how to fly in a variety of settings using methods that include ground and flight training. Flight instructors develop curricula, instruct students in a one-on-one or classroom setting, conduct training flights, determine student proficiency, report on student progress and develop new teaching methods. They are responsible for training students in subjects such as aircraft systems, operating procedures, handling emergencies, problem analysis, aircraft navigation, radio operation and aerodynamics.
