DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets the Chief Pilot job description maintained in the Company HR Policy and Procedures Manual
Upholds the Company Values
Promotes and supports the company Safety and Just Culture programs
Ensure the execution of plans and policies for company related compliance issues
Act as a direct liaison to the FAA for matters pertaining to the operating certificate with respect to pilot training or as designated by the Director of Operations or VP of Operations
Communicates effectively with the Director of Operations, VP of Operations, and finance as appropriate regarding relevant flight operations and pilot training activities
Remains current with all FAA regulatory standards and changes as well as industry standards
Maintains the Company FAA Part A, B, C and/or as directed by the Director of Operations or his designee
Responsible for operational control to initiate, terminate, or divert all Company flight operations
Responsible for canceling or suspending any flight operation in the interest of safety until it can be confirmed that the safety hazard has been removed or is no longer a threat to safe operations
Responsible for ensuring company airmen remain qualified and proficient to execute their duties and responsibilities under regulatory requirements
Responsible for developing a vision and strategy for the pilot training program
Promotes compliance with all TSA security requirements as directed by the Air
Operations Security Coordinator (AOSC) or his designee
Maintains a proactive focus on pilot staffing needs and recommends staffing level adjustments to maintain optimal operational efficiency and regulatory complianceCoordinates pilot candidate selection and interview process
Displays a high level of fiscal responsibility by considering the financial impact and costs associated with flight operations and training.
Conducts aircraft pilot proficiency checks.
Fulfills line pilot scheduling vacancies as directed by the Director of Operations or his designee as the need arises
May also fulfill other roles within the company as directed by the Director of Operations or his designee as necessary such as Duty Manager, Base Manager, AOSC, Line Pilot, etc.
Holds a seat on the Company Safety Committee.
Maintains aircraft checklists and ensures revisions are submitted to the FAA.
Assists the Director of Operations in maintaining aircraft briefing cards.
Assists customers in preparing for CAMTS inspections and maintaining compliance with CAMTS policies.
Ensures customer crew members receive the required AMRM training and maintains records of this training.
Maintains Non-Part 97 copter approaches listed in H122.
Completes and verifies payroll for subordinates.
Assists the DO in maintaining weight and balance aircraft data.
Ensures that manifests and operation risk assessments are retained as per the FARs.

Able to acquire and maintain a or Airport-issued Air Operations Area (AOA) or Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) security badgeSatisfies the Management Personnel requirements of 14 CFR 119.71(c) for Chief PilotRemains qualified as a pilot in command in at least one fixed wing model listed
Acquires and holds a Letter of Authorization (LOA) as an instructor pilot in at least one fixed wing aircraft model listed
Acquires and holds an FAA LOA as a Check Airman in at least one aircraft model listed
