Job Description

What you'll do:
Assist the pilot-in-command during all phases of flight in accordance with operating policies and procedures
Perform a visual pre-flight (walk-around) inspection prior to each flight
Perform a visual post-flight (walk-around) after each flight
Assume primary responsibility for the safety of the passengers, crewmembers, cargo, and the aircraft should the pilot-in-command become incapacitated or unable to perform his/her duties
Have primary operational responsibility for successfully completing the customerservice portions of each leg as outlined in the policies and procedures manual
Review thoroughly and brief the pilot-in-command specifically on all customer service items including, but not limited to passenger pick up, passenger drop off, refueling, customs, private hangar pick up/drop off private hangarcommunications requirements, and passenger catering
Comply with all Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, and Company Policies and Procedures
INITIAL NEW-HIRE Consists of all ground training curriculum segments in their entirety, with the aircraft ground being specific to the type(s) of aircraft in which the airman is to qualify. The flight training will cover all required events and maneuvers with none being waived by the qualified flight instructor.
Crewmember Training will be recorded on AA Training Form 301
Update flight and duty records, determine eligibility for the next flight assignment and ensure any aircraft maintenance discrepancies are reported to the Captain and reported in accordance with operating policy and procedure
Participate proactively in safety and quality systems by identifying, reporting and mitigating hazards and quality issues.
Provide timely input to management and apply systems processes to address quality and safety issues.

Minimum Requirements

What you'll need:
High school diploma or GED
Current US Passport with at least 6 months remaining at all times during employment period
Must be highly knowledgeable of the general operations manual, FAA Regulations, operations specifications, flight manuals, standard operating procedures, and company policies and procedures
Must be able to complete our pilot training indoctrination program consists of: ground school, online computer based training, flight training in the aircraft during normal operations. At the conclusion of this a pilot is expected to perform at a level to pass the appropriate 135 checks to qualify as a company SIC
The pilot must hold at least a commercial pilot certificate for multi-engine and aircraft with an instrument rating as the minimum experience to be an SIC for an aircraft in the general-purpose multi-engine family of aircraft
ALL PILOTS must have successfully passed an oral/written examination administered by an FAA approved, or a representative of the Administrator within the preceding 12 calendar months required by FAR 135.293 (a)

ALL PILOTS must have successfully completed a competency check administered in the type of airplane within the preceding 12 calendar months conducted by a FAA approved or an FAA inspector, as required by FAR 135.293 (b)
ALL PIC IFR PILOTS must have completed the 6-month IFR proficiency check given by an FAA inspector or a FAA approved (FAR 135.297).
Must have demonstrated enroute, arrival and departure procedures by completing an enroute check (FAR 135.299) with an FAA inspector or a FAA approvedFCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit
500 hours Fixed Wing
No Aviation Incidents or Accidents
ATP Multi-Engine (10+ Multi-engine hours)
91/135 Experience Preferred
Must Live Within 2 Hours of HHR (Hawthorne Airport- upon employment)US Passport
Customer/Client Focus
Ability to multi-task
Proficient in MS Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Must be able to pass FAA drug/alcohol screening, background checks and submit to random drug test when required
Maintain current FIRST class medical certificate as required by the company
