Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervision of San Antonio-based aircraft pilot group.
Coordinates with aircraft schedulers in planning efficient flight and crew assignment schedules for San Antonio-based aircraft.
Assures that flight crew, aircraft, airport, and route assignments are operationally suitable and meet Company requirements.
Establishes who will be Pilot in Command (PIC) for every flight.
Works with the Aviation Manager and aircraft maintenance department to coordinate timing of aircraft inspections and repairs so that aircraft airworthiness and availability are maintained at high levels.
Coordinates with the Safety Advisor and Training Coordinator to assure pilot training is accomplished as planned, safety programs are implemented, operational, and effective, and that aircraft and facility security plans are implemented, operational, and effective.
Assures that the flight operations, international operations, MEL, aircraft SOPs, facility security and emergency response manuals are current, up to date, and that prescribed policies, procedures, and practices are followed by personnel.
Assures that division pilot and aircraft documentation, licenses, and required paperwork are current and up to date.
Coordinates with Maintenance Foreman to assure hangar facilities are properly maintained and provide a safe and secure working and business environment.
Act as Pilot-in-Command on operational assignments.
Ensure that flight operations are conducted in compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
Actively participates in the Company safety management system by:
Actively identifying, reporting and mitigating hazards and safety-risk management deficiencies

Education and Experience:
Degree: Bachelors Preferred
Discipline: Any Field
Experience with SMS
Computer Proficiencies: Should be proficient in basic computer applications, including: Word, Excel, and using internet sources
Certifications: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-engine) Hold a Valid FAA First Class Physical
Work Experience: Minimum of 5000 hours flight experience and at least 1000 hours in multi-engine jet aircraft.
Type rated PIC jet experience required.
